Véronique Ormezzano has been appointed effective Nov 2nd 2015 as Head of Group Prudential Affairs for BNP Paribas. In this role, she is responsible for the definition of BNP Paribas group-wide responses to new regulations, in close liaison with regulatory experts in the various business lines and functions. She is also in charge of orchestrating the group' relationships with regulatory authorities, industry associations and relevant peers, leveraging the various teams within Group Public Affairs, as well as business lines, functions and territories, and with the full support of top management. She was previously,since 2009, Global Head of Official Institutions Coverage at BNP Paribas.In this role, she created and managed a team of Senior Bankers based in Europe, Middle East, Asia and America, dedicated to Sovereigns, Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Supranationals and other government agencies, with the mandate of providing to these official sector clients the whole range of advisory and financial services that BNP Paribas can deliver, leveraging on the bank’s expertise across all geographies and business lines : As a major player in the SSA debt and Fixed Income market ; A leader in Investment Banking, Real Estate and Infrastructure in Europe ; A large Asset Manager with a dedicated approach toward the official sector ; And a full pledge range of Securities Services offering. After several years as a management consultant in the Finance Division of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), she joined Paribas in 1994 where she held various responsibilities as Head of Economic Capital and Raroc project in the Risk Department, as Head of Loan Portfolio Management in Corporate and Investment Banking, and as Head of Financial Information and Investor Relation in the Group’s Finance Division. Veronique graduated at the “Hautes Etudes Commerciales” business school (HEC) in 1982.
